【台風】支援物資を送りました。
11月22日、新たに寄付していただいたTシャツ376点を、
マニラのラリー牧師の教会に送りました。
先日送った衣類は、すでに配り終わったそうです。
物資は、教会や、個人宛に送ったほうが、
必要な人に早く行き渡るそうです。
皆様の温かいご支援に、一同感謝申し上げます。

【台風】フィリピンへ支援物資を送りました。
フィリピンの台風災害の支援として、フィリピンのラリー牧師のもとへ７６１点の古着を送りました。
Choubの姉妹クワイア・JoyMamaの協力と、みなさんの温かいご支援のおかげで、
現地ですぐに使えるようにと、ほぼ全ての物を清潔で、アイロンをかけた状態で発送することができました。
沢山の寄付とご支援をありがとうございます。
速報：フィリピンの台風情報（2009-10-06）
フィリピンを直撃した台風情報をお送りします。
台風１６号の影響で、マニラ首都圏では９月２６日には全域の約８０％が冠水しました。（毎日新聞）１０月１日の時点で少なくとも２４６人が死亡し、３８人が行方不明となっています。また、５６万人以上が避難し、被災者は２００万人と見られます。（CNN）
コンサートでマニラでの活動報告をしてくれた大楽こといさんが、先月２８日まで２週間ほど現地に滞在していました。

近所の様子ですが、膝あたりまで水が上がり、自宅が水浸し、路上生活の家族と子どもたちは必死に避難、橋の下の家は一か所流されていました。
汚染された水が室内に入りもともと不衛生である環境がさらにひどくなっていると思われます。
私の知人の家族には、飲料水が汚染されているため感染症をおこし、お腹に赤ちゃんを身ごもったまま亡くなったと聞きました。二次被害が出ています。
シューブがサポートしていますThe River of God family tondo church は、日ごろの地域活動が認められており、地域のソーシャルワーカーよから緊急避難場所として利用したいとの依頼が入っていました。
台風のなか教会のワーカーたちは、普段から配給サービスや、定期的にイベントを行い呼び寄せ関係を作り続けている子どもたちのもとへ、救出に出かけていました。
しかしほとんどの子はすでにどこかへ避難しており、身寄りのない１０歳の男の子だけ、教会にて食事とMIKO（ラリー牧師の息子）の洋服が渡されました。
その子は以前に教会のイベントに参加したことがあり、ラリーさんを知っていたため、この苦しいさなかでしたが、いくらか安心した様子でした。
カラオカンというところにあるもう一つ教会があります。
ラリー牧師の友人であるエン牧師の教会で、3年前の訪問時に賛美させていただきました。
そこのメンバー宅はかなり被害があったようです。
床上浸水で服や食糧、さまざまなものが使用できなくなり、礼拝の出席もままならない様子でした。しかし神様を讃え、証をしている姿に返って励まされ、人を慰め、癒し、平安をくださる神様の力を体験しました。

また、３日にも台風１７号がフィリピン北部を直撃しました。
マニラは直撃を免れましたが、今後も台風が続きますので、被害の悪化が心配されます。
Let's Celebrate ゴスペルコンサートにおいてのコンサート収益から毎月の送金、３万ペソの他に今回緊急支援分２０万円（１０万９８０ペソ）を送金させていただきました。

という思いを強くしました。
それから5ヶ月後、祈りが実現し、2007年9月から半年の予定で、
ついにフィリピンに旅立ちました！

Dear Kikuyo,
Hello! are you back now from usa? How are you how is your conference? I pray that you were able to recharge over there.
Last saturday afternoon, many children attended the outreach, and they were very happy to sing songs and listen the bible story. our CHOUB center is doing well, the children are very happy that they can go to school and have a delicious meal. Sister Gemma is doing the teaching everyday,
Thank you for touching the lives of these little children. Thnak you for the CHOUB CHOIR and for the Joy Mama and for you! You are a wondereful blessing and friend to the many many street children and poor families here at manila. God bless you always.

Today is a good day, we visited the Delpan kids, and they were so happy, some of the are sick, so we prayed for them. They send their embraces and love to you. I attached three pictures of them, Hope is helping in the outreach also, she reads story books to the children. We love you in Jesus love.

This month is very busy for us, as of today we have 20 little children enrolled in our CHOUB STEP Children Center. We pray to at least have 30 this year. We also pray that God will continue to bless us (CHOUB, You, and us) that God will give us strength, wisdom and more deeper love for the "little ones" of the Father in heaven. Most of the last pupils are now enrolled in grade 1 in the Government school, we will just provide school supplies to them.
Our outreach with the Delpan children is well and most of the street children they are enjoying Hope's reading books to them and some of them will be in our center this year. The Gregorio (Recto) children outreach is growing, we have more children there.

Please pray for our scheduled Christmas Party for the Street Children. One is on December 17, we will reach 100 children from Gregorio and Recto. December 18 will be 100 children from Delpan and Intramuros, December 19 will be 50 children from CHOUB CHILDREN CENTER, December 21 will be for the 100 street families from different places. Please pray my Sister that our Lord will provide the budget we need for the food and gifts for the everyone, please pray also that children and their parents will listen and respond to the Gospel on that day. Please pray for my health, i am sick again with my head.

God is doing great with our ministry with the street children.
Choub Children Center are very wonderful, it serves 20 regular children now, plus the other 50 kids every saturday, their parents are attending the Bible Studies. Our outreaches at Gregorio and Delpan are also doing nice.

This week is the first week of our learning center at the Smokey mountain, we have 30 children there, we have two meetings per day, 15 little cute children in the morning and 15 in the afternoon, it is very fun to work with them. Gemma is concentrating in teaching the children, Me and Zaldy and Bong also works in the center, we wish and pray that CHOUB can come and have a short work with us with the children. The center is open at 8 am and closes at 5 pm.

Everybody was so happy when we put the name CHOUB for the center, CHOUB is very important to me, You and Choub gives me a lot of encouragement to reaching more children and helps me see God's providing hands.

We are opening our new center at the smokey mountain area! We named the center CHOUB CHILDREN CENTER. Please pray for this new opportunity to reach the poor children of Smokey mountain. We miss you very much.
No matter how difficult the challenge, knowing and understanding GOD's grace and deep love for us, we can be asured of His strength and power.
